“The suspect was found to have been involved in drug distribution activities since September 2025.

“He received RM200 as payment to collect the parcel from the courier service centre and RM20 for each cartridge delivered to customers around Kuching and Padawan.

“Further investigations are actively being carried out to trace the leader and the network of the syndicate responsible for the sale and distribution of these drugs,” he told reporters during a press conference at the Padawan District Police Headquarters today.

Police also seized RM470 in cash and a Yamaha motorcycle, along with 690 cartridges estimated to be sufficient for 3,450 doses. Each cartridge contains 2.5 millilitres of liquid and is valued at about RM450.

“A preliminary urine test showed that the suspect was negative for drugs, and he has one prior criminal record related to drugs,” said Mohd Irwan.

The suspect has been remanded for seven days from December 7 to December 13. The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
