KUCHING (Sept 1): The inaugural Emcee Training workshop organised by Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (Azam) concluded last Friday, involving 80 participants from diverse backgrounds across various agencies

Azam in a statement said following the overwhelming interest in the workshop, it is now considering holding a second edition of the workshop in the near future.

In praising the participants, Azam CEO Ali Suhaili said their success in completing the workshop was a reflection of their hard work and commitment.

“I am truly proud of your accomplishments. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support of Azam and we hope it will continue,” he said in his closing address.

The workshop from Aug 29-30 was held at Wisma Sabati here.

Participants included representatives from Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak, Sarawak Public Communications Unit, Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation, Natural Resources and Environment Board, Azam Young Souls, Sarawak Energy, and individual participants.

Ali also acknowledged the contributions of professional emcee and trainer Syerifah Farah Wan Taha, who played a crucial role in enhancing the participants’ skills and knowledge.

“Syerifah has been an inspiration to all of us and has significantly contributed to the development of exceptional talents within Sarawak and specifically at Azam,” he said.

He also invited the public to join Azam’s upcoming public relations training scheduled for Sept 23 and 24.

The training will cover essential topics such as newsletter production, media relations, writing for the media, crisis management, event management, speech writing, and corporate writing.

These sessions are part of Azam’s commitment to fostering effective communication and supporting Sarawak’s future growth, in line with its slogan ‘Movement for Progress’.
