KUCHING, June 4: Applications are now open for the TEGAS Pre-Accelerator Bootcamp (TPAB) 2026, a five-day intensive programme aimed at equipping early-stage Sarawakian startups with the skills, mentorship and industry exposure needed to accelerate business growth and attract investment.
The eighth edition of the bootcamp will be held from July 6 to 10 at TEGAS Digital Village here, bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, students and startup founders seeking to transform ideas into viable businesses.
Organised by the Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Sarawak (TEGAS), the programme is designed to help participants strengthen business fundamentals, validate market opportunities and develop effective go-to-market strategies.
This year, TEGAS is partnering with Growth Through Innovation to deliver the bootcamp.
Its founder, Ken Lau, said the collaboration would provide participants with practical tools and real-world insights to scale their ventures.
“Growth Through Innovation is proud to be part of TPAB’s eighth cohort and looks forward to working with Sarawak’s next wave of bold and brilliant founders, helping transform ideas into real-world ventures through innovation, execution and AI-powered entrepreneurship,” he said in a press release.
Participants will undergo a structured curriculum covering business development, problem validation, digital marketing, startup finance and investor readiness.
The programme will also expose founders to Generative AI tools for rapid problem validation, while providing hands-on experience in developing minimum viable products (MVPs) through rapid prototyping and no-code development approaches.
The bootcamp will culminate in a Demo Day at TEGAS Digital Village, where participants will pitch their business ideas before investors, corporate partners and mentors.
Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, and TEGAS chairman Datuk Len Talif Salleh, said the initiative reflects the agency’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and strengthening Sarawak’s innovation ecosystem.
“The TEGAS Pre-Accelerator Bootcamp represents our ongoing dedication to empowering youth and entrepreneurs across Sarawak.
“Rather than simply launching startups, this initiative focuses on cultivating a new generation of courageous thinkers and problem-solvers capable of making a real impact in their communities,” he said.
He added that providing early-stage founders with the right tools, knowledge and support would help local talent compete effectively at both national and international levels while contributing to Sarawak’s vision of building a prosperous and inclusive digital economy by 2030.
To be eligible, each participating team must have at least one Sarawakian founder or co-founder and be in either the ideation or early-growth stage. Teams may comprise up to four co-founders and must commit to attending the full five-day programme.
Since its launch, TPAB has supported dozens of Sarawakian startups, with many progressing to national accelerator programmes and successfully launching their ventures.
