MIRI, May 22: Gracelyn Tigang, representing Bintulu, was crowned Miss Grand Sarawak 2026 at a glittering finale held at Boulevard Shopping Mall on Wednesday (May 20).
According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the pageant brought together 14 finalists from across Sarawak, each showcasing elegance, confidence, talent, and the strength of their individual advocacies on the final stage.
In addition to claiming the main title, Gracelyn also clinched the Best Pageant Week Outfit award, further affirming her status as one of the most outstanding contestants throughout the competition.
The first runner-up title went to Lingga representative Elene Sulissa, while the second runner-up position was won by Sebauh representative Juyanti Jelimah.
All three winners will go on to represent Sarawak at Miss Grand Malaysia 2026. The national winner will then advance to the Miss Grand International pageant, scheduled to be held in India this October.
A range of subsidiary titles was also presented to recognise excellence in various categories. Lingga’s representative was named Miss Social Media, Tatau’s representative took Best Introduction, Mukah’s representative secured Best Evening Gown, while Miri’s representative was awarded Best Walk.
Main sponsor The Fisherman Wharf Miri & KK also presented special sponsored titles, including Miss Corporate Queen (Tatau), Miss Pearl Elegance (North Kuching City), and Miss Influencer Charm (Lingga).
The pageant also highlighted inclusivity and diversity, with contestants representing various divisions across and beyond Sarawak, reflecting a shared spirit of unity among participants from different backgrounds.
Organised by Aldrin’s Artistry in collaboration with Miri Events & Decor Specialist under the leadership of Elvin George, Miss Grand Sarawak 2026 continues to serve as a platform for building confidence, leadership, and empowerment among young women, while also promoting Sarawak on both national and international stages. — DayakDaily
