Former Sabah Law Society president Roger Chin among six nominated assemblymen

KOTA KINABALU (Dec 2): Former Sabah Law Society president Datuk Roger Chin was among six nominated assemblymen who took their oaths of office at Istana Seri Kinabalu on Tuesday.

The ceremony, which included the presentation of official nomination letters, was witnessed by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Tun Dr Musa Haji Aman, and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor.

Roger was part of the team that brought the state’s 40 per cent special grant issue to the High Court.

The other nominated assemblymen include Datuk Mohamed Razali Mohamad Razi (GRS), Datuk Abdul Kassim Razali (GRS), Datuk Ceasar Mandela Malakun (GRS), Datuk Ir. Chin Shu Ying (LDP) and Grace Lee Li Mei (PKR).

A press statement from the Media and Communication Office, Chief Minister’s Department confirmed the nominations but did not specify the portfolios or responsibilities assigned to the assemblymen.
