KOTA KINABALU (Dec 2): The Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Youth Movement has declared its firm and unanimous support for the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor.

In a statement today, the movement said the recent victory of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in the Sabah state election was a clear manifestation of the people’s trust in Hajiji’s proven leadership.

“The victory of GRS reflects the confidence of the people in YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor’s leadership, which has demonstrated maturity, credibility, and a clear vision in steering Sabah towards stability and progress,” said the statement.

Following the election victory, the youth wing called on all its machinery and leadership at every level to strengthen unity within its ranks and provide full support to Hajiji, who is Gagasan Rakyat president and GRS chairman, as he leads the state administration for the next five years.

The statement emphasised that such support is crucial to ensure that all development agendas for the people, social well-being initiatives, and Sabah’s progress can be implemented in a consistent, structured, and effective manner.

“At the same time, the Gagasan Rakyat Youth Movement will continue to serve as the main platform in conveying the aspirations, hopes, and pulse of Sabah’s youth to the party’s top leadership and the state government,” it said.

The movement also reaffirmed its commitment to remain loyal, obedient, and steadfast in upholding every decision made by the party’s leadership in order to ensure stability, organisational strength, and the continuity of the struggle to develop the state and defend the welfare of the people.

The youth wing also extended its highest congratulations to the newly sworn-in Sabah State Cabinet, expressing its confidence that the appointed ministers would focus on resolving longstanding issues faced by the people comprehensively and decisively.

In addition, the movement also voiced hope that the new Cabinet would intensify and expand welfare and well-being initiatives, strengthen the empowerment of women and the development of youth, improve governance efficiency, and manage state resources prudently, while remaining steadfast in defending and fighting for Sabah’s rights in line with the spirit of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

“We are confident that the next five years of administration will witness the capability of the GRS Plus Government to lead Sabah towards a more advanced, stable, prosperous, and competitive future, for the benefit of the people and generations to come,” added the statement.
