KOTA KINABALU (Nov 29): As of 9.40pm, Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said she has been informed that the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalitions have sufficient numbers to form a government tonight.
“And PH is honoured to be part of the government that will be formed in Sabah tonight.
“So, once again, thank you, and God willing, we look forward to a new Sabah and a better Sabah,” she said at the Sutera Harbour resort where the PH machinery congregated.
Also present were Sabah PH chairman Datuk Mustapha Sakmud and Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.
Earlier, Fuziah congratulated and commended all PH candidates who had worked tirelessly to defend their seats in the 17th Sabah state election.
“DAP is unable to be with us tonight, and they have already issued a statement saying that they accept the decision shown and delivered by the voters here in Sabah,” she said.
Unofficial results so far show that DAP has lost all eight seats it contested.
“As the secretary-general of Parti Keadilan, on behalf of my colleagues in PH, I would like to state that we accept the decisions made by the voters in the constituencies where PH contested,” she said.
She added that the coalition would review its weaknesses and build on its strengths.
“Certainly, there are many lessons that we can learn from this process,” she said.
As of 10pm, unofficial results indicate that PH has won the Melalap and Sindumin seats.
