TUARAN (Nov 29): Sulaman incumbent assemblyman Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor has expressed confidence that Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will retain the seat in the 17th Sabah state election.
“For Sulaman, I am confident GRS (Gabungan Rakyat Sabah) will win the seat,” he said.
Hajiji, who has represented the constituency for many years, told reporters this after casting his vote together with his wife and four children.
“So whatever it is, I feel confident. We will wait for the result later,” he said.
He said he would be following the results from the Chief Minister’s official residence in Sri Gaya.
Hajiji also said he was in good spirits, joking that he “did not know” who he voted for.
He stressed that GRS would respect the people’s decision, regardless of the outcome.
Earlier, Hajiji highlighted the importance of safeguarding harmony.
