Head of State Tun Musa Aman accompanied by his wife Toh Puan Faridah Tussin cutting his 75th Birthday cake at the State Banquet Monday night.
KOTA KINABALU (March 30): Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor stressed that the state government remains committed to carrying out a wide range of comprehensive development initiatives.
“This includes an emphasis on strengthening the state economy, infrastructure development and improving healthcare, education, safety and other facilities for the well-being of the people.
“In delivering this agenda, civil servants must perform their duties with full dedication, honesty and integrity to ensure that every government policy and initiative can be implemented better and more effectively,” he said.
Hajiji said this at the State Banquet in conjunction with the Head of State Tun Musa Aman’s official 75th birthday celebration which was held at the Banquet Hall, of the State Legislative building on Monday evening.
He added that with the formation of the new state government for a second term in November last year, a holistic development agenda based on Hala Tuju SMJ 2.0 – a continuation of the Hala Tuju SMJ 1.0 policy, will serve as a guide and platform to bring the state to greater heights.
“The successful implementation of the SMJ 1.0 Development Plan has given us confidence that the government’s administrative approach over the past five years has been on the right track.
“Therefore, the SMJ 2.0 Development Plan is a continuation that requires ongoing change to enhance capabilities, including a shift in thinking and ways of working, and creating new value for sustained progress and development,” he said.
He called on all parties to play their part in upholding professionalism, maintaining discipline and adhering to integrity in carrying out their duties and responsibilities.
“I am confident that administration grounded in integrity and good governance will be able to boost investor confidence, strengthen the state’s economic competitiveness and create a conducive environment for sustainable development,” he said.
Hajiji said all efforts and initiatives of the government must be carried out with a strong sense of responsibility to ensure Sabah continues to move forward and achieve sustainable development in line with the state’s development aspirations.
The Chief Minister said he and the entire state administration greatly appreciate the leadership, wisdom and patronage of the Head of State, who is a symbol of unity, stability and harmony for the people of Sabah.
