Hands-on approach, fact-based decisions key to address water supply issues, says Sungai Manila rep

KOTA KINABALU (Jan 17): Water supply is a basic necessity for the people and cannot be compromised, said Sungai Manila assemblyman Hazem Mubarak Musa, assuring that the issue will continue to receive serious attention.

He said a hands-on approach and decisions based on facts are essential to ensure that actions effectively address residents’ needs.

“I will continue to monitor developments on this issue and ensure that information from the meeting is conveyed transparently to the public.

“The people’s interests are my top priority,” he said during a visit to the Sabah Water Department to get a direct explanation of recent supply disruptions and the remedial measures being carried out.

Hazem added that the Sabah Water Department is currently repairing a damaged main pipeline.

In the meantime, he has initiated the installation of additional water storage tanks in several affected villages within the Sungai Manila constituency.

He has also directed the department to step up water deliveries to areas in need until the problem is fully resolved.

The swift measures demonstrate the assemblyman’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare of residents in Sungai Manila.
