KOTA KINABALU (Jan 13): The 15th Inter-Professional Bodies Games (IPBG) 2025 concluded on Sunday morning with the final event, a 5km run organized by the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) at the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Sports Stadium.

The run was officiated by the chairmen and presidents of the seven participating professional bodies and was flagged off at 7.00 a.m.

Approximately 300 participants from the seven professional bodies took part in the run, demonstrating high sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the event.

The participating organizations were the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Malaysian Medical Association (MMA), Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM), Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), Sabah Law Society (SLS), and Sabah Pharmaceutical Society (SPS).

The run featured four categories: Men Open, Women Open, Men Veteran and Women Veteran. The top ten runners in each category contributed team points ranging from 10 points for first place to two points for tenth place.

In addition, each completed runner earned one point for their respective team.

IEM emerged as the champion of the 5km run, followed by PAM and SPS as first and second runners-up respectively.

About 100 runners from IEM participated in the event, contributing significantly to the team’s overall score.
