KUCHING (Sept 2): The ‘Emcee Training Workshop’ run by Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (Azam) for the first time gathered 80 participants from diverse backgrounds representing various agencies.
In a statement, the organisation said following the overwhelming interest in the just-concluded programme, it would be considering holding the second edition of the workshop in the near future.
In his speech for the closing ceremony, Azam chief executive officer Ali Suhail hailed the success of the workshop as a reflection of all the hard work and commitment rendered by the organising committee’.
“I am truly proud of your accomplishments. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support of Azam, and we hope it would continue,” he said at the event that took place at Wisma Sabati here last weekend.
The participants included representatives from Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak, Sarawak Public Communications Unit, Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation, Natural Resources and Environment Board, Azam Young Souls, Sarawak Energy, as well as individuals.
Ali also acknowledged the contributions of professional emcee and trainer Syerifah Farah Wan Taha, who played a crucial role in enhancing the participants’ skills and knowledge throughout the course.
“She has been an inspiration to all of us, and has significantly contributed to the development of exceptional talents within Sarawak and specifically at Azam,” he said.
Ali also invited the public to join Azam’s public relations training, scheduled to run this Sept 23 and 24.
“The training will cover essential topics such as newsletter production, media relations, writing for the media, crisis management, event management, speech writing, and corporate writing.
“These sessions are part of Azam’s commitment towards fostering effective communication and supporting Sarawak’s future growth, in line with its slogan ‘Movement for Progress’,” said Ali.
