KOTA KINABALU (Dec 1): Sabah China Chamber of Commerce president Datuk Frankie Liew recently met with Fu Changhong, chairman of Jiangxi Aiye Herbal Medicine Co., Ltd., to explore potential investment opportunities in Sabah and discuss cooperation in expanding overseas markets.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaching a preliminary intention for collaboration.
Liew and his delegation were received by Fu and the company’s senior management at Aiye Herbal Medicine’s headquarters in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Fu expressed his appreciation for the visit and shared insights into the company’s development journey, core product strengths, and long-term strategic plans.
He noted that Sabah’s strategic location, abundant resources and business-friendly environment position it as a key gateway for Chinese enterprises aiming to enter the Southeast Asian market.
As part of its expansion strategy, Aiye Herbal Medicine plans to introduce advanced production lines and establish a modern manufacturing base in Sabah, enabling the company to further internationalise its mugwort-based health products.
Liew commended the company’s achievements and innovation in the traditional medicine sector. He said the Sabah China Chamber of Commerce remains committed to strengthening economic and trade ties between China and Sabah, adding that the company’s proposed investment and factory setup would create new industrial and employment opportunities in the state.
He also pledged that the Chamber would fully utilise its role as a bridge to provide support in policy facilitation, resources and services to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.
Both parties held in-depth discussions on investment specifics, policy support and market potential, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
The meeting marks a significant step forward in the partnership between Aiye Herbal Medicine and Sabah, signalling mutual benefit and win-win development.
Established in March 2020 and located in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Innovation City of Ganjiang New Area, Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, Jiangxi Aiye Herbal Medicine Co., Ltd. occupies over 30 acres and integrates research, production and sales of health-related products.
