KUCHING, March 31: Lodge National Secondary School’s Varyll Voon Woo Jie and Lo Fang Wenn led a stellar Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2025 showing with perfect straight 9A+ results, headlining a cohort where 25 students achieved straight A grades across all subjects in yet another year of outstanding academic excellence.

According to a media release following the release of SPM results today, the school recorded a commendable School Average Grade (GPS) of 2.72, underscoring the dedication, perseverance, and high standards consistently upheld by both students and educators.

Among the 25 high achievers who secured straight A’s in all subjects are Keagan Chang Liang Je, Vernon Chew Zhe Xian, Amelia Law Yi Ting, Angel Lyn Wong Xinyue, Lavinia Clarissa Ascotia, Lucas Wong Qin Le, Rayna Chen Yi Jun, Samantha Wong Yuk Xin, Benjamin Sia Hua Xun, Ezzad Zachary bin Mohd Rizal, Harlyanna Ellisa binti Iwan Surya Negara, Lim How Sing, Candice Kho Dan Sze, Fion Goh Yi Xuan, Issac Tan Hak Shun, Jovie Lau Zhe Shan, Ko Zen Bing, Kristine Elvira Kho Shyie Yin, Leona Ang Chii En, Lim Ao Yi, Ryan Cheu Tzen Ee, Theophilus Jathan Hii Chin Ann, Tiffany Ang Ler Qin, Travis Teo Zia Zhen, and Wang Jia Ming.

Further highlighting the cohort’s strong academic performance, six students attained 7A results, while four others achieved 6A.

The school’s strength in English remained a standout, recording an impressive 91.40 per cent distinction rate (A+/A/A-). Strong distinction rates were also seen in key subjects including Mathematics (86.02 per cent), Pendidikan Moral (62.03 per cent), Chemistry (57.14 per cent), General Science (56.52 per cent), Additional Mathematics (51.43 per cent), Chinese Language (50.00 per cent), Biology (47.14 per cent), Physics (45.71 per cent), History (43.01 per cent), and Malay Language (36.56 per cent).

Commenting on the results, Lodge Group of Schools director Su Hiong Ai said the achievements were the product of sustained effort and purposeful learning.

“These results are not a one-day wonder. They are the outcome of clear intention, sincere effort, and the intelligent execution of that effort by our students, supported by dedicated teachers and committed parents,” he said.
He added that the results reflect the strong collaboration between the school, parents, and the Lodge School Association Committee in nurturing students to reach their full potential.

Lodge National Secondary School also extended its appreciation to its teachers, parents, and the association committee for their unwavering support and dedication.
