KOTA KINABALU (Jan 22): Sabah Aquatic Sports Association (Sasa) conducted the Malaysia Aquatics (MAS) course for technical officials in swimming (Grade 3) here recently.
Forty-four participants from across the state and Labuan attended the two-day course which covered the World Aquatics competition rules and regulations which govern the competitive swimming.
The role of technical officials as a part of competition human resources was also highlighted.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Sasa president Daniel Lee observed that rules and protocol governing swimming events are ever evolving. He said that Sasa continues to encourage and welcome all existing and new technical officials to constantly update themselves with the latest developments.
Lee also thanked the Sabah Sports Council (MSN Sabah), Sabah Sports Board (SSB), Malaysia Aquatics (MAS) and its technical and coaching committee for the support given to Sasa.
