Maxim Malaysia shared the spirit of Ramadan with Rumah Anak Yatim Ar-Raudhoh, providing essential supplies and transportation support.
KOTA KINABALU (March 6): In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, Maxim E-hailing Malaysia intensified its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Kota Kinabalu and Tawau.
The company supported local communities, madrasah institutions and orphanage homes through the distribution of iftar meals, essential supplies, and transportation assistance as part of its ongoing commitment to community well-being.
On the second day of Ramadan, Maxim commenced its charitable programmes in the statein collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sabah.
The initiative began at Masjid Al-A’laa in Kampung Lokub, Kota Kinabalu, where a convoy comprising Maxim representatives, its drivers, and members of the UiTM Sabah Student Representative Council gathered to distribute iftar meals to the local community.
The programme was also attended by UiTM Sabah rector Professor Madya Dr Rozita Mohamed, to support the distribution efforts.
“We appreciate the collaboration with Maxim, which reflects a shared effort to contribute meaningfully to the community,” said Rozita.
Following this initial programme in Kota Kinabalu, Maxim continued its CSR efforts within the city with a visit to Madrasah Darul Hadis DarSa Sabah.
The team engaged with over 85 members of the madrasah community. In addition to distributing iftar meals, Maxim presented essential hampers and handed over a mock cheque valued at RM300 for travel assistance using Maxim services.
This support aims to benefit the students and ease the madrasah’s daily operations during the holy month.
Meanwhile, in Tawau, Maxim E-hailing also carried out the same Ramadan initiative at Rumah Anak Yatim Ar-Raudhoh, delivering essential supplies to 34 orphans under the home’s care and extending the same transportation support to assist with the home’s operational needs.
The items included stationery, toiletries, food containers, water bottles, and other daily necessities.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by the head of Rumah Anak Yatim Ar-Raudhoh, Ahmad Siong, along with the children residing there.
“We sincerely appreciate Maxim’s visit and generous contribution. Initiatives like these bring great benefit to both the children and the caregivers, and we hope such support will continue in the future,” said Ahmad.
Commenting on the company’s broader community engagement efforts, Maxim E-hailing Malaysia director Mohd Hazwan Musley said: “We hope these initiatives bring genuine benefit and blessings to the entire community.
“Maxim looks forward to continuing such collaborations in the future, in line with our support for community well-being and the strengthening of relationships between all parties.”
Collectively, these initiatives reflect Maxim Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to support local communities while fostering volunteerism and youth engagement through collaboration with university students.
Through sustained outreach programmes, the company aims to contribute positively to society beyond the Ramadan period, reaffirming its commitment to delivering meaningful support to communities beyond transportation services.
