KOTA KINABALU (Feb 23): In the spirit of Ramadan, Maxim Malaysia, in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sabah, organised a heartfelt community convoy to Masjid Al-A’laa Kg Lokub, Kota Kinabalu.

A total of 18 participants from UiTM Sabah, comprising staff and the Student Representative Council, joined the convoy, travelling together in Maxim drivers’ vehicles while delivering 100 iftar packs directly to the local mosque community.

Through this initiative, the iftar packs were distributed to mosque attendees, delivering not just nourishment but also a sense of care, connection, and generosity. The programme fostered a strong sense of togetherness, reflecting the true essence of Ramadan.

Building on its ongoing CSR efforts, Maxim Malaysia continues to expand its community programmes across the country, focusing on initiatives that create meaningful and sustainable impact.

“We hope that this initiative brings real benefits and blessings to everyone in the community. Maxim looks forward to continuing collaborations like this in the future, supporting local well-being and strengthening bonds among all parties,” said Mohd Hazwan Musley, Director of Maxim E-Hailing Malaysia.

Complementing this effort, Prof. Madya Dr. Rozita Mohamed, Rector of UiTM Sabah, highlighted the importance of partnership and collaboration.

“We believe this marks an important starting point, not only as a valued client of Maxim and a strategic synergy partner, but also as a committed collaborator in meaningful and impactful community initiatives,” she said.

What began as smaller-scale efforts has gradually evolved into a structured annual programme aimed at delivering lasting positive impact. Moreover, the convoy strengthened connections between the gig economy sector, academic institutions, and the mosque community, demonstrating how collective action can create tangible benefits.

Looking ahead, Maxim Malaysia plans to further expand its CSR programmes through strategic partnerships with educational institutions, religious bodies, and local organisations nationwide.

“This initiative highlights the power of collaboration. By working together, we can bring real benefits to communities and continue to nurture a culture of giving,” added Hazwan.

The programme ultimately underscores Maxim Malaysia’s dedication to meaningful community engagement, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, while reinforcing long-term cross-sector collaboration beyond the festive period.
