KUCHING (July 24): Nationwide weather is expected to be drier with lesser rainfall for the next few days until July 27, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
According to its latest significant weather forecast notice, the department said this is caused by the tropical cyclones in the northeast of the Philippines and the South China Sea near Hainan Island.
“This situation causes the weather in the country to become drier and less rainy in the next few days.
“Based on the analysis of weather models, the situation is expected to return to normal when these two tropical cyclones weaken starting July 27, 2024,” MetMalaysia said.
It also advised the public to always refer to the MetMalaysia’s website and its social media platforms, and also download the myCuaca application, for the latest and authentic information.
