MIRI, Aug 17: Miri Resort City, historically known as Malaysia’s ‘oil town’ after the first well was drilled at Canada Hill in 1910, has evolved into a dynamic hub for tourism and events.

This year, Miri proudly hosts six key events for the 21st Malaysian Games (Sukma) 2024.

These events include sailing at the scenic Marina Bay, fencing at the lush Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club, rugby at the Miri Stadium, silat at the Miri City Indoor Stadium, karate at the IKBN Miri indoor stadium, and softball at SMK Merbau.

Miri: The northern gateway to Sarawak’s natural wonders
