MIRI (Oct 29): See Hua Marketing Sdn Bhd is hosting the Miri Trade Fair (Mitraf) 28 from Oct 31 to Nov 3 at Permaisuri Imperial City Mall and The Imperial Mall, here.
This highly anticipated four-day event will feature over 80 vendors, offering a diverse range of products and services.
Visitors can expect a wide variety of products and services, including electronics, security doors, home appliances, handy tools, home improvement products, and fitness equipment.
There will also be optical products and services, bridal services, fashion, beauty and slimming products, financial planning, handicrafts, information technology, higher education courses, vehicles, and property development.
Food enthusiasts will be spoiled for choice, with vendors offering a variety of local cuisines.
Throughout the trade fair, readers of The Borneo Post, Utusan Borneo, and See Hua Daily News will have the chance to receive free items sponsored by various vendors, as part of the Readers’ and Subscribers’ Benefit Programme.
To receive these gifts, subscribers must produce their latest three-month subscription receipts (from July to September 2024) or yearly receipts, and present them at the See Hua service counter.
One of the major highlights of Mitraf 28 is the Miri Car Exhibition, hosted by the Sarawak Vehicle Dealers Association.
Running from Oct 30 to Nov 3 at the outdoor car park of The Imperial Mall, this exhibition will showcase the latest models from internationally renowned automobile brands.
Visitors can explore a range of sedans, SUVs, electric vehicles and more, making it a must-visit for car buyers and enthusiasts.
The fair will kick off on Oct 31 with a lively song and dance performance by the Miri Senior Citizen’s Service Centre from 10am to 1.30pm.
At 2pm, Miri Mayor Adam Yii will officially open Mitraf 28, marking the start of the event.
In the evening, visitors will be treated to a performance titled ‘The Sparkles of RRSS’ by Riam Road Secondary School students at 7pm.
On Nov 1, the activities include a singing performance by the Miri Riam Senior & Recreation Club from 10am to 12pm; Sudoku competition from 1pm to 3pm; and performances by Technique School Music Academy titled ‘Great Moment of Music’ at 4pm.
The evening will close with Unity Dance Academy’s ‘Let Dreams Bloom’ dance show from 7pm to 9pm.
On Saturday (Nov 2), visitors can look forward to a day packed with exciting events, including the RIA 3Q Kids ‘Animal World’ colouring contest at 10am, followed by an ‘Intellectual Memory Challenge’ later in the day.
Maghimage Academy’s ‘Fantasy Make-Up Show’ will dazzle attendees from 5pm to 6pm, while the XDY group from Miri Musical Society will round off the day with a singing and dancing show at 7pm.
The final day of Mitraf 28 on Sunday will feature a children’s colouring contest from 10am to 2pm, followed by a hard pen competition with the theme ‘Art on Your Fingertips’ from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.
The Arts School will entertain the audience with its ‘Rhythm Unleashed’ dance show, before the event concludes with a grand lucky draw session at 8.30pm.
Visitors who spend a minimum of RM100, or place a booking fee of RM300 on a vehicle or property during the fair, will be eligible for the lucky draw, which offers prizes such as electrical items and home appliances.
Miri MP Chiew Choon Man will be the guest of honour at the closing ceremony.
Supported by Miri City Council, Mitraf 28 promises to be an event packed with entertainment, shopping and activities for the whole family.
The trade fair will run from 10am to 10pm over the four days, and admission is free.
