KUCHING (March 11): The Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) is intensifying efforts to strengthen smart city development, with the aim of obtaining early recognition as a Smart City Early Adopter.
MPKS chairman Abang Ismawi Abang Ali said the initiative is being strengthened through the organisation of a Smart City Initiative Engagement Session involving various government agencies, private sector representatives and educational institutions.
He said the session served as a platform to gather input and feedback related to smart city development in Kota Samarahan.
“Input and information obtained from this engagement session are important assets in shaping the direction of sustainable smart city development in Kota Samarahan,” he said, according to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas).
