KUCHING (Dec 12): A 39-member delegation from Perak’s State Infrastructure, Energy, Water and Public Transportation Committee (INTAP) recently visited the Kuching ART Assembly Facility (KAAF) to learn about the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) system under the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project.
Led by INTAP chairman Dato Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, the delegation was welcomed by Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd CEO Mazli Mustaffa, who briefed them on the progress of the KUTS project.
Mazli highlighted the state government’s initiative to develop a green mobility system, with ART serving as the backbone of a modern public transport network.
“The KUTS project reflects Sarawak’s commitment to building a modern, cleaner, safer and more efficient public transport system for the future.
“We are pleased to share our progress and learnings with organisations such as INTAP, and we look forward to collaborations that support the advancement of sustainable mobility in Malaysia,” he said in the statement.
