PM to announce more good news ahead of Aidilfitri

KUALA LUMPUR (March 9): Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to announce several more pieces of good news for the people ahead of the Aidilfitri celebration, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The Prime Minister’s senior press secretary Tunku Nashrul Abaidah said that this morning, the Prime Minister announced seven immediate intervention measures by the MADANI government to help ease the people’s burden ahead of Syawal.

Among the measures announced were the early crediting of the Phase Two payment of Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) starting tomorrow, the disbursement of the 2026 Special Financial Assistance involving civil servants, pensioners and veterans, the expansion of the Rahmah MADANI Sales Programme series nationwide, as well as the expansion of the subsidised flight ticket initiative FlySiswa.

“The MADANI government will continue to do its utmost to ensure that the welfare of the people remains a priority, in line with the resolve to build a nation that is more just, prosperous and compassionate.

“Insya-Allah, the Prime Minister will also announce several more pieces of good news for the people soon ahead of the Aidilfitri celebration,” he said during the PMO briefing, which was broadcast live on Facebook via Anwar Ibrahim’s page and the PMO Malaysia page today.

Tunku Nashrul said the PMO hopes that all the assistance, efforts and measures announced will provide relief to the people, especially in facing cost-of-living pressures and making preparations for Aidilfitri. – Bernama
