KUCHING (Jan 15): Post-mortem examinations on the Sri Aman couple found dead in the bedroom of their house in Taman Mutiara on Wednesday have been completed.

A source told The Borneo Post that the procedures at Sarawak General Hospital here began at 9.30am today and concluded around 1pm.

The couple’s remains were then transported back to their home, with burial scheduled to take place Sunday morning in Simanggang.

It was understood that both victims had sustained severe neck injuries, with the husband also sustaining multiple stab wounds to the chest.

The man has been identified as 45-year-old Andy Roy Junran, a headmaster at a school in Lubok Antu. His wife Angelin Kibin, 44, was a nurse.

The couple had two daughters and a son.

Their bodies were found by one of their children who, while getting ready for school that morning, noticed the couple had not come out of their bedroom.

Police have classified the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code and are working to establish a motive, with investigations ongoing to collect evidence and record witness statements.

Meanwhile, when contacted by Buletin Utama TV3 on Wednesday, Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohamad Zainal Abdullah confirmed there were no signs of a break-in at the victims’ residence.

He said based on information from one of the victims’ children, no valuables were missing from the house.

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the case.
