KUCHING (March 4): As Ramadan bazaars continue to draw steady evening crowds, questions often arise about food prices, hygiene standards, and overall comfort.
The Borneo Post spoke to several visitors at the Stutong Ramadan Bazaar here to gather their impressions.
For 22-year-old Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) student Mohamad Danish Mohamad Gustie Albian, the experience was largely positive.
He described the food prices as reasonable and said they appeared to have been monitored for the convenience of the public.
“The prices are reasonable. They have been monitored and reduced for everyone’s convenience,” he said.

Mohamad Danish also highlighted the variety at the bazaar, noting he was drawn to a dish he had never tried before. On cleanliness, he was equally satisfied.
“The place is very clean, not cramped and there are no unpleasant smells, overall, it is comfortable,” he said.
For 23-year-old Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) student Hidayatie Faizien, she found that most food items were affordably priced for visitors.
She commended the organisers and traders for maintaining proper hygiene standards, noting that sinks were provided.

“Cleanliness is well maintained and sinks are provided for traders and visitors,” she said.
A corporate visitor, who wished to be known only as Syazwan, 35, described the prices as acceptable and praised the wide selection of food available.
“This is my first time going to this Ramadan bazaar and I am impressed by the wide variety of choices available.
“The parking is fine as well and I arrived early too,” he said, adding that parking is generally manageable since most bazaars are held in spacious areas.
Overall, most expressed satisfaction with the balance of pricing, hygiene, and convenience, reflecting a generally positive public perception of the Stutong Ramadan Bazaar this year.
