KOTA KINABALU (Feb 21): The National Association of Wives of Civil Servants and Women Civil Servants (Puspanita) Sabah branch remains committed to empowering the community, particularly women, through holistic and impactful manner, said its chairperson Datin Seri Panglima Datuk Dr Nuinda Alias.
She said the association had planned and implemented numerous programmes and activities throughout 2025 in line with its vision and mission.
At state level, Puspanita Sabah has organised 165 activities including its sub-committees, Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), while 29 district and sub-district branches have conducted 440 activities statewide.
“These achievements reflect the dedication and perseverance of Puspanita members at all levels in implementing activities that benefit not only members but also families and the wider community, she said when officiating at the association’s 43rd annual general meeting (AGM) at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) recently.
Nuinda highlighted three key high-impact programmes last year: the ‘Riuh Bersama Keluarga Puspanita Sabah Branch 2025’; ‘Puspa Voice 2.0’, and the annual dinner themed ‘Malam Citra Batik’ held on Nov 9.
She added that the branch also achieved recognition in the Sabah Government Website Competition (SGWC) 2025, receiving The Outsource Web Innovator Award (Second Runner-Up), along with RM1,000 in cash, a trophy, and a certificate.
In addition, Puspanita Sabah secretary Judy Ann Engku received the Outstanding Puspanita Member Awards at branch level during the National Puspanita Awards 2025, while Nuinda herself was honoured with the UTM Alumni Community Figure Award 2025.
“The association continues to move forward based on its pillars comprising visibility, professional excellence, high-impact financial management, outstanding excellence and exclusive women’s ownership,” said Nuinda, also emphasising that women in the digital era play multifaceted roles in family, education, careers, and society, and are drivers of national development.
“Within Puspanita, women are not merely participants but strategic partners contributing ideas, energy and leadership,” she said.
She also expressed hope that Puspanita Sabah would continue to grow as an inclusive and progressive platform, and called on heads of departments to encourage greater participation among women civil servants and spouses.
