“The project to upgrade the entrance road to Paradise Beach Trombol, which is used by residents and tourists, has received an approved allocation of RM350,000 under the Member of Parliament’s (MP) Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for the year 2027 and will be implemented soon.

“In addition, the construction of new public toilets and bathrooms worth RM100,000 has also been approved and will commence shortly,” she said during the National Welfare Foundation (YKN) Local Social Support Centre (PSSS) Caring University Students Friend Programme and Green Tour at Paradise Beach Trombol here today, as reported by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas).

Nancy, who is also the Santubong MP, said the approved development allocations demonstrate the government’s ongoing commitment to transforming Kampung Trombol into a destination that is not only appealing to tourists but also equipped with the facilities and infrastructure needed to improve the quality of life of its residents.

This came following Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s announcement of a new RM400 million i-CATS University College campus in Trombol, which will be developed in phases.

The project will include student accommodation and other supporting facilities to cater for the university’s future expansion and growing student population. — DayakDaily
