KUCHING, June 8: Sarawak has once again recorded the highest maximum temperatures nationwide, with the meteorology stations in Kapit recording 35.5°C, followed by Sibu, which recorded the third highest with 35.4°C, on Sunday (June 7).

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia), the station in Kuala Krai, Kelantan, recorded the second-highest maximum temperature at 35.5°C.

In Sarawak, the station in Mulu recorded a maximum temperature of 35.1°C, while Limbang recorded 34.8°C, followed by Kuching and Sri Aman, which each recorded 34.5°C, and Bintulu at 34.4°C.

Meanwhile, the stations in Miri and Mukah recorded maximum temperatures of 33.8°C and 33°C, respectively.

On May 21, the station in Sibu recorded the highest maximum temperature nationwide at 35.9°C.

Later, on June 4, Limbang and Sri Aman recorded the highest maximum temperatures nationwide with readings of 35.8°C and 35.5°C, respectively. — DayakDaily
