KOTA KINABALU (Feb 25): The Sabah State Cabinet took part in a Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) ceremony at the Cabinet Meeting Room at Menara Kinabalu here, led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor.
Following the recitation of the pledge, Hajiji and Cabinet members signed the IBR document, witnessed by Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sabah director Datuk Mohd Fuad Bee Basrah.
Mohd Fuad said the programme demonstrates the state government’s seriousness in implementing anti-corruption efforts and will be expanded to ministries and agencies to ensure comprehensive coverage.
“The implementation of this programme also demonstrates the effectiveness of planned initiatives, helping to prevent corruption, abuse of power and financial leakages,” he said, adding that more ministries, departments, government-linked companies (GLCs) and private sector entities are encouraged to participate in the IBR programme.
