KOTA KINABALU (Nov 30): The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Sabah Branch, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor on his swearing-in as the Chief Minister of Sabah.
On behalf of IEM Sabah, Branch Chairman Datuk Ir. Ts. Mohd Yaakob bin Jaafar conveyed the institution’s warmest wishes and praised the Chief Minister’s steadfast leadership in guiding Sabah toward stability, economic resilience and progressive development.
Mohd Yaakob highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between the engineering fraternity and the State Government, especially in strengthening infrastructure, enhancing water security, improving public utilities, and supporting key programmes under the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) framework.
“IEM Sabah is committed to contributing our professional expertise and technical capacity to support the State Government’s development agenda, particularly in sustainable infrastructure, engineering excellence, and talent development,” he said.
IEM Sabah looks forward to working closely with Hajiji in driving Sabah toward greater progress, stability, and shared prosperity.

The Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (ACEM) Sabah Branch also extended its warm congratulations to the newly elected Sabah State Government, with special recognition to Hajiji on his reappointment as Chief Minister.
ACEM Sabah chairman, Ir. Benny Song said the organisation welcomes the outcome of the 17th Sabah State Election with optimism and is ready to support the Government’s renewed mandate to bring positive change to the people.
He emphasised the central role of strong and resilient infrastructure in realising the aspirations of the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) development blueprint. In line with this, ACEM Sabah has pledged its full technical support to the State Government, particularly in the planning, design and implementation of key infrastructure projects.
Ir. Benny affirmed that ACEM Sabah’s members stand prepared to work closely with the Government, offering their professional knowledge, engineering expertise, and manpower to ensure successful delivery of critical development initiatives that will strengthen the state’s infrastructure foundation.
He expressed confidence that through close collaboration between the public sector and industry professionals, Sabah can address long-standing infrastructure challenges and pave the way for a more prosperous future for all Sabahans.
Reiterating his congratulations to the new administration, Ir. Benny said ACEM Sabah is committed to playing an active and meaningful role in supporting the Government’s mission for progress and sustainable development.
