KOTA KINABALU (Nov 28): With Sabah heading to the polls tomorrow, voters have been urged to support Pakatan Harapan (PH) to secure a stable and prosperous future for the state under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
PKR Vice President Datuk Seri Ramanan Ramakrishnan said the relationship between the federal and Sabah government, led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, is currently at its best, “friendly and close”, creating greater opportunities to ensure the welfare of the people of Sabah is properly addressed.
Speaking to reporters after inspecting final preparations at the Moyog State Assembly main operations room, Ramanan expressed confidence that Sabah voters would make decisions based on facts and reality, rather than emotions alone.
Ramanan, who is also Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, has been in Sabah since nomination day to ensure PH’s machinery, particularly in Moyog, supporting candidate Remysta Jimmy Taylor, operates in an organised, efficient, and effective manner.
“Tomorrow is the day of decision. I am confident the people of Sabah will choose what is best for a more secure and prosperous future,” he said, adding that while this state election is competitive and challenging, the record of the federal government’s care for Sabah cannot be denied.
“The Madani Government has demonstrated extraordinary commitment in safeguarding Sabah’s interests comprehensively.
“In fact, PM Anwar is the only Prime Minister who frequently visits Sabah to ensure development projects are implemented properly,” he said.
Ramanan emphasised that Sabah has also received the largest development allocations in history under the Madani Budget, a clear testament to the federal government’s dedication to the state’s well-being.
He said the stability of the relationship between the state and federal governments is a key factor that must be maintained through the election.
“Most importantly, this relationship must be preserved for the long term. Elections are a democratic process to choose a government that truly benefits the people of Sabah, as PM Anwar has always stressed,” he stressed.
He concluded by urging all Sabah voters to go to the polls and choose PH as a show of support for a more stable, prosperous, and secure future for the state.
