KOTA KINABALU (Dec 3): Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) president Datuk Frankie Liew has lauded the technological strength of Jiangxi Yaoguang Technology Co., Ltd. during an inspection visit to the company’s headquarters in Jiangxi Province, China, describing it as a promising partner for Sabah’s future industrial growth.
Invited by the company’s Founder and CEO, Tao Yaqin, Liew led a business delegation for an in-depth tour of Yaoguang Technology’s core operations, including its research and development centre, production facilities, and product showcase area. The delegation was briefed on the company’s achievements in intelligent manufacturing, new energy technologies, and digital solutions.
Liew said the visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between Sabah and China’s leading high-tech enterprises, with a focus on introducing advanced technologies, attracting quality investments, and supporting industrial upgrading in the state.
He expressed appreciation for Yaoguang Technology’s innovation-driven approach, noting that SCCC would continue to serve as a bridge to promote practical cooperation in sectors such as smart city development, high-end manufacturing, and new technological health-care equipment.
“This visit serves as a new starting point for both sides to deepen communication, expand diversified cooperation models, and create a mutually beneficial landscape,” he said.
During a special discussion session, Tao presented the company’s development journey, core technologies, and strategic plans. She also highlighted Sabah’s geographical advantages, abundant resources, and strong development potential. She expressed readiness to work with Sabah enterprises through technology transfer, project collaboration, and talent exchange.
Liew said the discussions helped strengthen mutual trust and set a strong foundation for long-term cooperation.
“The Sabah China Chamber of Commerce will continue to promote deeper economic, trade, and technological exchanges and strive to bring more high-quality projects to Sabah to support the state’s economic diversification,” he added.
