Chen introducing to Liew how the company uses herbal ingredients to produce Shulei’s products.
KOTA KINABALU (Dec 2): Sabah China Chamber of Commerce (SCCC) president Datuk Frankie Liew met with Jiangxi Shulei Biotechnology Co., Ltd. in hopes of facilitating the company’s potential investment and collaboration in Sabah.
Liew and his delegation were welcomed by the company’s vice president, Chen Jianbin, and director of the Overseas Business Division, Liu Zhipeng, during their visit.
Chen briefed the delegation on Shulei’s research and development philosophy, product manufacturing processes, and a range of herbal formulations, giving SCCC a deeper understanding of how the company develops its personal care products using traditional oriental herbal essences.
Founded in 1996, Shulei is a well-established national personal care brand with 29 years of history. The brand consistently uses natural plant-based ingredients sourced from the East, extracting herbal essences and integrating them with modern care technology to create natural nourishment for the scalp, hair and skin.
Shulei Biotechnology also wholly owns several subsidiaries, including Shumei Personal Care and Shufuya Biotechnology, making it a comprehensive enterprise encompassing research and development, manufacturing, sales and services.
As a long-standing national brand, Shulei upholds a “market-driven and striving-based” business philosophy, with the ambition of becoming a century-old brand that the nation can take pride in.
Liew commended Shulei’s achievements in herbal applications, product innovation and branding strategies.
He expressed hope that the company would consider an investment exploration trip to Sabah in the near future.
He emphasised that Sabah’s abundance of natural plants and herbal resources provides a strong foundation for developing new personal care products. Additionally, Sabah’s strategic location as a regional hub — with significant logistics and transportation advantages — can help companies expand into the Southeast Asian and broader ASEAN markets.
Liew welcomed Shulei to seize the opportunity and explore potential avenues for cooperation and investment in Sabah.
