KUCHING, Sept 20: SEDC Energy (SEDCE), the energy subsidiary of Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC), has advised the public to remain vigilant against unauthorised parties deceptively claiming to act on the company’s behalf in PETROS Multifuel Station (MFS) business dealings.

According to TVS, the advisory follows public tip-offs regarding individuals allegedly canvassing commercial opportunities related to the PETROS MFS initiative. In particular, SEDCE highlighted the circulation of a forged presentation deck falsely presented under official company branding.

SEDCE denied any association with the material, stressing that the presentation deck was not created, issued, approved or authorised by the company.

It further clarified that no third party, agent, or intermediary has been appointed to represent, solicit, or conduct business on its behalf for the MFS project.

In light of this, SEDCE urged members of the public, investors, and prospective business partners to refrain from sharing personal, financial, or commercial details with anyone claiming to act as a representative.

The company re-emphasised that all applications to participate in the PETROS MFS initiative must be submitted directly through official SEDCE channels without third-party involvement.

Taking formal action, SEDCE confirmed that it has lodged a police report and is fully cooperating with the authorities in their investigation.

Anyone approached by suspected impostors is advised to verify the approach directly with SEDCE and report any unauthorised activity to the nearest police station immediately. — DayakDaily
