KUCHING: Dura Technology (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd has made strides in sustainable construction with the development of Ultra High-Performance Concrete (UHPC), using cutting-edge green technology.
Its chief executive officer (CEO) Shahrir Iman Suib asserted that this technology not only saves costs and time but also minimises the need for manual labour in building infrastructure like bridges.
“In addition to cost and time savings, it also reduces the need for labour in building various infrastructure, such as bridges. Our UHPC technology is crucial in promoting environmental sustainability and is certified as a green technology product,” he said.
He told the media this after paying a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Wisma Bapa Malaysia on Thursday.
On the same note, Dura Technology (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd director who is also its founder Adj Professor Ir Dr Voo Yen Lei said the company is committed to fostering a more sustainable construction industry in Sarawak.
The technology, he said, aims to contribute to a greener and safer future.
“We are bringing this technology to Sarawak, and we hope to continue making the construction industry more sustainable, less polluting, and less harmful to the climate and the environment. This will contribute to shaping a better future,” he said.
In addition, the Premier also received a courtesy call from the British High Commissioner to Malaysia Alisa Terry, where discussions included crucial topics like semiconductor cooperation and the sustainable transition to green energy in Sarawak.
The talks also addressed the region’s safety and security.
