“A site survey for the road project was completed on May 8, 2026. The project is currently in the Bill of Quantities (BQ) preparation phase and will be managed by the Simunjan District Council with physical works expected to commence following a balloting process in the fourth or fifth series of the year,” he said.

He said this during the Gawai Dayak Ngiling Bidai celebration at Kampung Sungai Lingkau Hilir on Saturday (June 20).

During the same event, he also officiated a newly completed storage facility funded by a RM80,000 allocation under his RTP 2024. The facility is intended to serve the local community for storing equipment and community assets.

The event concluded with a traditional “ngetas ranyai” ceremony to mark the end of the Gawai celebrations alongside the distribution of food baskets to seven village elders aged 80 and above.
