Tech firm eyes potential tie-ups to support Sarawak’s transformation agenda

KUCHING (Feb 25): A local technology firm has expressed interest in forging strategic collaboration with agencies in Sarawak to support the state government’s ongoing transformation agenda.

OpenMove AI chairman Tengku Tan Sri Mohamad Rizam Tengku Abdul Aziz said the courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg meant to explore the potential areas of cooperation, particularly in providing expertise aligned with the state’s transformation initiatives.

“Alhamdulillah (Praise Be For Allah), the discussion was very positive.

“We also received advice from the Premier regarding further engagements to be held with the relevant agencies.

“There is also the possibility for us to collaborate with Sarawak government agencies in realising their transformation agenda,” he said, as quoted by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) in its report.

The meeting took place at Satria Pertiwi Complex in Petra Jaya here on Tuesday.

Tengku Mohamad Rizam remarked: “OpenMove AI is keen on pursuing strategic cooperation in view of Sarawak’s proactive approach in driving digital transformation through various initiatives undertaken by the state government.

“The company is prepared to contribute its expertise across several areas related to transformation, leveraging local talents and homegrown capabilities as value-added components in the proposed collaboration.”

Also present were Movenet (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd senior vice-president Steven Lim Kee Seng, as well as vice-presidents Dr Muhammad Fadhli Abdul Malek and S Chandra Bogar Samuel Swaniadian.
