KUCHING, 14 Oct: Sarawak Women's Partnership Federation (PPWS) shares traditional biscuit making skills with prospects at the Borneo Summit Prison through a skill learning program to empower human capital development.
The initiative was implemented through PPWS's official working visit to the Borneo Summit Prison as a step towards strengthening cooperation between the two sides in expanding access to skills learning.
The program, which began at 9 am, gave participants an exposure to traditional baking with knowledge and skills sharing as the main focus of the workshop.
"The PPWS team was brought to visit the songket weaving workshop before joining a traditional baking learning program that is specially run to provide exposure and transfer skill knowledge to prospects.
"This visit and workshop is expected to be the starting point for a range of more comprehensive strategic collaboration programmes between PPWS and the management of the Punjab Borneo Prison in the future", he said in a statement today.
The PPWS contingent was headed by PPWS State Chairman, Dato Norhyati Mohd Ismail and welcomed by Borneo's Top Prison Director, Hamdhan Mat Noh.
PPWS hopes the initiative can contribute to human capital development and empower communities regardless of background. -TVS
