Warisan yet to decide on Kinabatangan, Lamag by-elections

KOTA KINABALU (Dec 30): Warisan has not made any decision on whether it will contest the Kinabatangan parliamentary by-election and the Lamag state by-election, clarified its president Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Apdal.

In a statement, he said claims suggesting that the party has already decided either to contest or not to contest the two by-elections are premature and inaccurate.

He stressed that no conclusion has been reached at this stage, adding that any decision would be made through proper internal discussions and established party processes.

“As with all elections, Warisan will make its decision based on what is best for the people of Sabah,” he said.

Mohd Shafie also emphasised that once a decision is finalised, it will be announced officially through the party’s authorised channels.

Until then, he advised the public and the media to rely only on confirmed statements issued by Warisan, and not on speculation or unverified claims.
