Out of the 76 projects, he said, 27 have been completed, 25 are ongoing, and 24 are in the planning stage.

“We expect seven ongoing school projects, worth about RM223.64 million, to be completed between this June and the end of December this year,” he said to reporters after a handover ceremony for the completion of two new blocks for SMK Dalat and SMK Semop, which was held at SMK Dalat on Monday (June 8), as reported by TVS.

Touching on the two completed projects, he said that they were implemented by the Public Works Department (JKR) with a combined cost of over RM37.7 million.

He praised the teams behind both projects for completing them on time—the SMK Dalat project was completed ten days ahead of schedule, whereas the project in SMK Semop project was completed 164 days ahead of schedule, which Nanta, who is also Kapit MP, said had set a benchmark for future government development projects.

Both projects utilised Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the Industrialised Building System (IBS), which helped improve construction quality, increase efficiency and ensure smoother project delivery. — DayakDaily
