KUCHING (July 11): A total of 176 recipients received the ‘Pingat Peringatan Cemerlang Jubli Intan’ (Bronze) here today.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas presented the awards during a ceremony at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex.

The presentation of the awards is in conjunction with the celebration of Sarawak’s 60 years of independence.

Datuk Temenggong Janggu Banyang led the list of recipients, followed by Datu Ahmad Denney Ahmad Fauzi, Datu Richard Tajan, Datu Khalidi Ibrahim, and Datu Dr Adrian Susin Ambud.

Also present were DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar and Deputy State Secretary Datu Hii Chang Kee.

On July 4, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg presented awards to a total of 189 recipients including five who were awarded the ‘Pingat Peringatan Cemerlang Jubli Intan’ (Gold).

The rest received the ‘Pingat Peringatan Cemerlang Jubli Intan’ (Silver).
