KOTA SAMARAHAN, 16 Sept: A total of 2,403 series of Mercy Sale MADANI (PJRM) have been implemented across Sarawak for the period from 1 January to 31 August 2026, indicating an increase in people's access to essential goods at lower prices.

Minister of Internal Trade and Cost of Living, Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said that PJRM offers daily necessities at prices between 10 to 30 percent lower than current market prices.

According to him, the implementation of the program in Sarawak continued to increase from 736 series in 2023 to 1,148 series in 2024, before reaching 2,584 series in 2025.

As for the Parliament of Samarahan City, a total of 86 series of PJRM were implemented in the same period, with 28 series recorded at DUN Stakan.

The increase, he said, was driven by welcoming community encouragement in addition to improving the implementation of the programme year after year.

"Starting in 2024, PJRM has been institutionalized as a permanent Government program by setting specific allocations under the Umbrella agenda in the annual budget", he said.

He said this while attending the Love Touch and Mercy Selling program in the courtyard of St. Peter's Church. Francis is here for the 63rd Malaysia Day celebration today.

Armizan said the frequency of implementation of PJRM is set at least three times a month in 600 DUN areas across the country, besides 40 zones in Federal Territories.

He said the implementation of the programme also included indoor and outdoor sales as well as mobile PJRM, including festival-themed visits and school holidays.

Starting in 2025, the PJRM schedule was also introduced to allow people to pre-check the dates, times and locations of programs through the official website of the PJRM.
