KANOWIT, Sept 10: Two men were left uninjured after their three-tonne lorry was involved in a self-accident near Rh Margeret, Jalan Lukut Penyulau here today.

According to a report by Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a distress call regarding the incident at 3.37pm before despatching a team from Kanowit Fire Station to the scene.

Operation commander Badrulhisham Mohamad said the 25-year-old driver sustained minor injuries, while a 32-year-old passenger was stuck in the vehicle.

“The Bomba extricated the victim using a hydraulic rescue tool consisting of an extension ram and spreader cutter.

“The victim was then rushed to the hospital,” he said. — DayakDaily
