Firefighters and medical personnel from MOH are seen carrying the victim on a stretcher to the nearby ambulance after he was freed from his vehicle.

KUCHING, Nov 30: A 34-year-old driver was injured in two-vehicle collision along Jalan Tanjung Kidurong in Bintulu today.

According to a report from Sarawak Fire and Rescue (Bomba) operations centre, they received call regarding the incident at 3.01pm and firefighters from Bomba Kidurong were deployed to the location.

The operation commander reported that the incident involved a palm oil tanker and a Proton Persona, where the victim was pinned in the driver seat inside the latter.

After conducting a size-up, firefighters then proceed to extricate the victim, who was later handed over to medical personnel from Ministry of Health (MOH) for further action.

The tanker driver was unharmed. — DayakDaily
