BAU (Sept 8): Some 35 households in the Tondong and Kampung Sudoh areas here will receive clean water supply by February next year.
According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) as the implementing agency has resumed the clean water supply project in both areas.
The project under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP), was approved in 2023 with an allocation of RM514,270.
A signing ceremony of letters of acceptance (LoA) between Tasik Biru assemblyman Dato Henry Harry Jinep and the successful contractors was held at the Tondong community hall here on Thursday.
The LoA signing ceremony was for the rural water supply projects’ implementation in Tondong Garden, Bau-Batu Kawa Road, Kampung Sudoh, and Singai-Matang Road.
Also present were JBALB Kuching divisional engineer Awang Muhamad Ayahtullah Awang Najeri; assistant engineer Siet Ung Wu; community leaders Pemanca Bong Jong Long and Kapitan Lee Yu Liang; and Kampung Sudoh chief Joseph Durin.
