MIRI, Sept. 18: The public is encouraged to get accurate information before making decisions regarding home ownership, whether for first-time home purchase, residential upgrades or real estate investments.
Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang said understanding of property options, housing products and related facilities is important to enable communities to make decisions based on their needs and capabilities.
He said the involvement of various industry players including developers, real estate agents, suppliers and related organisations gives people an opportunity to get information directly from the parties concerned.
"With various developers, real estate agents, suppliers and industry participants coming together, visitors can communicate directly with the relevant parties, understand the products available and make better informed decisions according to their needs and circumstances", he said while addressing the Miri SHEDA Home Property Roadshow 2026 inaugural meeting here today.
He added that the participation of the Workers' Savings Fund (KWSP) also gives the community an opportunity to understand the facilities and options available to help the journey towards homeownership.
"Participation in the KSP provides additional benefits to the public, especially those who want to understand the facilities and options that may help them on their journey to own a home", he added.
Miri SHEDA Home Property Roadshow 2026 runs for four days from September 17 to 20 at Megamall Star Miri.
A total of 14 exhibition booths are provided with the participation of industry players from Miri, Bintulu, Samalaju and Kuching, offering a range of products and services related to home and property needs. - TVS
