KUCHING (Aug 12): ACP Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah has taken over as the new Kuching district police chief (OCPD).

His predecessor, ACP Ahsmon Bajah, will be assuming his duty as deputy chief for the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department of the Sabah Contingent Police Headquarters.

The ceremony for the handing over of duties was held at the Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters here yesterday afternoon, and was witnessed by Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mancha Ata.

It also witnessed the promotion of six other police officers into the ranks of Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Moreover, Mancha congratulated Mohd Farhan for his role as the new Kuching OCPD, as well as the promoted police officers for their excellent service to the community.

“With this promotion, I hope it will continue to motivate you in providing the best service to the team and the community.

“You must keep in mind, with higher ranks comes heavier responsibilities. Nevertheless, with each of your respective experiences, the burden of responsibilities should not be a problem,” added Mancha.
