KUCHING, Sept 14: Minister of Communications, Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil reminds users to ensure that graphics generated using artificial intelligence (AI) display the Glittering Line with precise and perfect components.

He said the use of AI applications that generate inaccurate graphics could damage the image and dignity of the national flag.

"If you're creating a graphic especially that has pictures of the Glorious Path, please make sure the star and stripe are 14 stripes long as well as the color is not different", he said.

Fahmi said this at a press conference after the inauguration of the 2026 National Level Malaysia Day Celebration Exhibition here, today.

According to him, users should also refer to the official policies and guidelines related to production and use of the Red Line, in line with the Coat of Arms and Names (Prevention of Unintended Use) Act 1963.

Additionally, complaints relating to flag manufacturing errors may be forwarded to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) or the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (SKMM) for further action.

"The ministry is taking a more proactive stance by reminding the public, especially Malaysians to be vigilant in using any AI applications", he said. - TVS
