LUBOK ANTU: The Civil Defence Force (APM) recently demonstrated its commitment to animal welfare by responding to a unique emergency call involving the rescue of a pet rabbit.
In addition to its routine operations, which typically involve the rescue or capture of cats, dogs, lizards, snakes, and wild monkeys, the APM extends its services to assist in situations concerning various animals.
Residents are encouraged to reach out to APM promptly for assistance if their pets go missing or trapped.
On Tuesday (Jan 9), APM Lubok Antu promptly deployed a team to Kaong Ulu following a distress call at 4.42pm reporting a missing rabbit.
The furry pet had vanished from its cage just as the owner was preparing to feed it.
Upon arrival, APM members swiftly combed the area and located the rabbit in the bushes behind the owner’s residence.
The rescue mission was successful, and the rabbit was safely reunited with its owner’s children.
