Ba Kelalan churches receive over RM1 mln from Unifor

MIRI (Nov 4): Five churches in the Ba Kelalan state constituency received allocations from the Unit for Other Religion (Unifor) amounting RM1.15 million in Lawas today.

Ba Kelalan assemblyman Baru Bian was present to deliver the cheques.

The Borneo Evangelical Mission (BEM) Gaya Asal received RM500,000, while BEM Peruan received RM200,000.

Additionally, BEM Long Beriwen, BEM Berayong and BEM Tang Sango B each received RM150,000.

In his remarks, Baru expressed his gratitude to the state government and Unifor for the allocations to the churches under his constituency.

“All churches receiving these allocations from Unifor must record their expenses and report to Unifor,” he said.
